So, it turns out I have a bit of a thing for rainbows and I’m not alone. Following my post a couple of weeks ago about the mini me collection jumper (you can read it here), second to the gorgeous jumpers, it was the rainbow design that grabbed your attention in a big way. And rightly so, you cannot fail to be happy in the presence of a rainbow – who cares about the pot of gold at the end of it?!
The reason for my new love affair has been brought about now I’m focussing on Daisy’s bedroom. Even though she’s nearly two and a half now and it’s long overdue, I’m finally getting around to the finishing touches for her room and the plan has been to make it more grown up for her (in the vain hope she might sleep in it more!). I’m working on a reading corner (more on that to come) so I picked up this cushion for her on a recent visit to the H&M home dept in London and I’m also making a picture wall for her so I bought her this gorgeous print from Eleanor Bowmer which I’d been eyeing up for some time on instagram. Her room is an off-white shade so I’ve always planned to inject colour with accessories and what better way to do so than with a rainbow?
The mixture of colours means you don’t have to commit to one shade when decorating a nursery and the beauty of a rainbow is that it works for both boys and girls or if you don’t know what you are having. They are everywhere at the moment and if the recent high street press events I have been to lately showcasing a sneak preview of AW18 are anything to go by, rainbows are showing no signs of departing anytime soon either…
So I thought I’d share my obsession with you with my edit of the best pieces available now – sharing is caring after all! It was no easy task as there is certainly plenty of choice out there…
