A Faux Find…

by

For those of us like me, who cannot keep a plant alive despite all my best efforts, this green fingered trend is perfect and won’t need watering.

Bringing the outdoors in, cheese plants, ferns and palms are big news and feature on everything from bed linen and shower curtains through to the smaller end of the spectrum on candles and plates. Have fun with foliage and immerse yourself wholeheartedly into this luscious look boldly clashing several perennial pieces with tonal greens. Alternatively, ease yourself in gently with a single piece such as a cushion which will look just as striking against a neutral sofa or chair.

We finished decorating our living room just before Daisy arrived so I am now enjoying working on the finishing touches. I recently discovered these faux stems in Ikea (unfortunately not online, similar here Dunelm. ) that won’t break the bank and can’t be killed (even by me). The vase is a recent purchase discovered in Tesco made from recycled glass – all together a chic centre piece for less than £20.

I’ve also got my eye on this banana leaf cushion from La Redoute that looks definitely looks more than it’s price tag…
