As the mummy of a baby girl dressing her is a daily activity I’m yet to tire of (how long it stays clean is a different matter entirely!). With the weather getting colder and Daisy onto the next age of clothing I have been giddy about buying her autumn wardrobe – she already has a stealth collection of sweatshirts to be proud of.
As an all round lover of the High Street I’ve long been a fan of River Island for myself so it was inevitable that I would love their Mini range too. On a recent visit to River Island I made a bee line for this leopard print two piece for Daisy – (there’s even a very similar grown up version here if you found yourself lusting after it like me).
Launching this week the brand have a children’s wear collaboration with Julia Restoin Roitfeld. When I first heard of this partnership I got seriously excited. Coming from the daughter of ex Vogue Editor Carine, with a daughter of her own and the creator of the ultra stylish blog Romy and the Bunnies, style greatness was guaranteed.
I wasn’t wrong.
Inspired by her own wardrobe as a child the clothing is, put quite simply, gorgeous. Simple but stylish designs and with a nod to her Parisian roots there are breton tops (who doesn’t love a breton?) and Victorian lace pieces mixed with classic chunky knits, flashes of leopard and denim. Available for both boys and girls (with some unisex items too) ages 0-5 I am sure you will fall in love with the range like I have.
Here are just a few of my favourite pieces.
