If you have been following my blog and Instagram you will know I’ve done very little to keep my love of a stripe quiet (if you are new – hello and welcome!). Aside from leopard print, one of the only other patterns in my wardrobe is a breton stripe (the other is camo in case you were wondering) – it’s a classic and contrary to popular belief it’s more flattering than you’d think.
Naturally I hope Daisy will share my love of stripes one day too so starting her early what better way to introduce her than with a Masion Labiche – the ultimate in breton brands and brimming with Parisian chic. I have lusted after one of their embroidered tops for a long time so Daisy is actually ahead of me in the stripe game already (I’m am a teeny bit jealous) with this new addition to her wardrobe.
The label has teamed up with Alex and Alexa, the super chic online kids store, to launch the exclusive range in celebration of gender neutral dressing which the breton top is perfect for and which is also a hot topic in the press right now. I am not the most girly of dressers so it goes without saying that I’m a big advocate of borrowing from the boys – you’ll often find me shopping in the mens section – and I have already followed suit with Daisy’s wardrobe too.
Each top in the collection is lovingly embroidered with “Just Be You” – a simple message but something every parent wants for their children and encourages them to be. Incidentally, since we got this top I’ve really noticed how Daisy seems to have grown up overnight and is fast becoming a little character – so its arrival could not be better timed!
